The Cerebral Palsy Journey: A Relentless Athlete
Overcoming physical adversity to engineer a championship game built on work ethic, mental grit, and surgical precision.
Turning Adversity Into Competitive Fire
Competing With Cerebral Palsy • Bound for High School & College GolfLiving and competing with Cerebral Palsy has defined Carter's journey—not as an obstacle, but as the crucible that forged him into a relentless athlete who can overcome anything. While Cerebral Palsy presents motor control and rotational hurdles that prevent him from relying on raw power, Carter chose a different path: he out-works, out-thinks, and out-executes everyone else.
Working with PGA teaching professional Jeff Freebury at West Woods Golf Club, Carter developed a surgically calibrated swing tailored to his biomechanics. Recognizing that tournament golf is ultimately won from 100 yards and in, he dedicated thousands of hours to wedge gapping, greenside scrambling, and clutch putting.
The result is a fearless competitor with a career-low round of 98, hitting 74% of fairways and scrambling at a 68% conversion rate. Alongside a 3.52 GPA on the Principal's Honor Roll, Carter's story is clear proof: relentless grit and unshakeable discipline beat raw talent every time.
Surgical Short Game
Dialed-in 4-wedge system from 40–100y converting 68% of up-and-downs inside 50 yards.
Positional Strategy

Relentless Work Ethic
3.52 GPA scholar with aspirations to lead high school teams and compete in NCAA collegiate golf.
"Cerebral Palsy taught me early that limitations only exist if you accept them. I don't overpower golf courses—I out-think, out-position, and out-scramble the field. When obstacles arise, I work harder."
